Minutes from tonight's EON meeting (EON meets weekly at 9pm in the Woodhead Lounge):
-Anne facilitated
-Birthday icebreaker (quick)

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
-Anne Carlson (amcarlson@mindspring.com) is a visiting faculty member who attended the meeting. She's working on Feet to the Fire, a year long interdisciplinary series on climate change issues. There is FUNDING AVAILABLE for climate change project ideas for their Landfill Festival in May--keep an eye out for registration info or contact Anne.
-Dining Committe update: We've seen changes based on EON members' suggestions (keep suggesting). Folks are concerned with wes students wasting LOTS of food, and sushi and kosher station food in disposable dishes. Note: Weswings and Red and Black are overseen by Ed Thorndike (sp?): different pathway to address concerns.
-Wed. Oct. 24th campus farmer's market
-remember to comment on Pres. Roth's blog about climate change (GREAT student responses so far)
-sign up to help with tabling THIS WEEK at Usdan meals for the Student's Climate Commitment (email sreed@wes) **EDIT: POSTPONED**
-Apple Picking and Preserving Green Series event THIS SAT.: apple picking at High Hill organic orchard--leave from back of science center (outside lobby) 1pm, PLEASE bring car if possible, bring $ and bags
applesauce making (to freeze for winter) 3pm at Dana's house (42 Miles Ave.), bring tupperware, email dpowell@wes if interested.
-HUGE Climate Change Summit in D.C.: Nov. 2-5, may have FUNDING, email
Sarah Reed or Alex (**EDIT: actually Anne) soon if interested or know a potential driver
-EON will be scheduled to help on Long Lane Farm (one workday a month)--good times, good veggies, dates soon
-We're asking the WSA to pass a resolution for Pres. Roth to sign the Climate Commitment
-Read the Argus for EON members' wespeaks this week (!)
-Help go door-to-door with the Do It In The Dark campaign THIS SUN.: 1-3pm, email sreed@wes for sign-ups


GROUPS met briefly. This week, their meeting times will be:

EVENTS: Fri. noon outside Pi (working on online events calendar, blog, water taste testing booth, events to come)
PROCUREMENT: Wed. 6pm Usdan (paper campaign, bottled water...)
WASTE: email (compost route continues, recycling/compost accessability and
awareness)
ENERGY: 4:15 on Thurs. in Sci Li (****EDIT****)
